Viggy, commonly known as “ViggyDaArtist” on all social media platforms can be described as
Young, Energy packed, Passionate and a Driven individual that loves the art of Soca. His career
started with humble beginnings as he ventured from the Calypso arena into the world of Soca.
It is evident to see that Calypso played a substantial role in his musical development. During his
junior calypso journey he placed four out of five (4/5) times, with one of those times placing him
in the winning seat.
In 2010, Viggy began his journey into the Soca world joining his first band “Xtacy TM” where he had the privilege to be featured on an album entitled "Against All Odds.” On this album Viggy appeared on three (3) singles namely “40 years”, “Stupid”, and “Give it up”. His experience in this first band was short lived as it only lasted for one (1) year. This journey was memorable and a learning experience that helped to pave the road he now travels. In 2015 the opportunity to join another band surfaced. Viggy then decided to commit to another band named “Session Band.” Unfortunately, this experience didn’t last but the lessons taught were also unforgettable.
At that moment, a new version of Viggy arose, as it brought to life the possibility of a solo-career. In the year 2019, Viggy released a single called "Insane" which was his first and only track as a solo artist. This track continued to make headway through the Caribbean approximately one (1) year later. Currently, Viggy has been featured on two (2) albums and has featured on five (5) songs, with one of those songs being his first and only independent single. Viggy’s goal is to continue to strive to write and create great music with the goal to make everyone feel the same calmness and joy that it does for him. Viggy simply strives to change people one song at a time, the way his first song changed him!
